I’ve always had a love for language–especially English but also my second language, Spanish–and a sarcastic sense of humor. The two were a perfect match for creating ¡Que Funny!
It helps that I live in Miami, a city with a heavy Spanish-language influence. And lots of signs, menus and brochures printed in English, Spanish, Spanglish and most importantly, “Spangrish.” If you don’t know what Spangrish is, it’s akin to Engrish. Basically, it’s a hilariously botched translation (or use of Spanglish).
Living and growing up in Miami, I’ve seen lots of Spangrish. A long time ago, I thought posting some photos of Spangrish would be a great idea for a website.
Well, it took me long enough but here it is, ¡Que Funny!
